Synopsis:

The Nord 2215 was an improved version of the Model 2210 and can be recognized easily from its fully-glazed bubble canopy.

The first customer of the new variant was the Yugoslav Air Force, which received 25 aircraft in 1952-53.

Three prototypes were evaluated by the U.S. Air Force as the YF-99A but soon relegated to all manner of test work under the designation NF-99A.

A new order was placed for 15 improved production F-99B aircraft, which were delivered in September 1956. These were redesignated as F-7B in 1962 and some even wound up in South East Asia during the Vietnam war.

My comments:

The whole Nord 2210/2215 set was my very first attempt at drawing color profiles from scratch. It was a pleasant experience, and very satisfying when completed, but I guess I'm too lazy to do that sort of thing again anytime soon!
