The Douglas XP-48A Skyfighter

The Douglas Model 312A was a genuine World War II fighter project ordered by the U.S. Army Air Force as the XP-48, then canceled. In this picture, I tried to depict that very design in flight, as if a test batch had been built.

The name Skyfighter is of my own invention, but it is in line with the company's habit of naming aircraft with the "Sky-" prefix (SkymasterSkytrain,SkyraySkylancerSkybus to name but a few).
