Synopsis:
Elaboration:

Wanna see something weirder than a Piaggio "Avanti"? Meet the Piaggio "Ashanti", its double-decker derivative! This was my first photomanip for 2012, a double-decker, four-engine development of the successful Avanti.

Besides the obvious reworking of the fuselage...

... The tail was reshaped and the horizontal stabilizer extended.
... The canard was enlarged.
... The wing was extended and two extra engines were added.
... The wheels were all enlarged.

Original picture by Stephen Lane can be seen here [link] for reference. Enjoy!!!

  • DAAAMN, one of my favorite birds! Love it! :D (Roddy1990)
  • And 4-engined pusher? Weird indeed! (Tophe)
  • Great work on the Ashanti! (Bladerunner)
  • Very nice work! I'd be curious to HEAR this one! Maybe you know how screechy the avanti is... Now imagine four of these engines coming along  evil (bearmatt)
  • I like the Ashanti.  Still a good looking ship if a bit curvier. (Maverick)
  • Amazing ASHANTI Shocked ,Thanks (paulorod)
  • Great work, the lower deck could be an ideal gunship material. (McColm)
  • Very well done, once more. Uh, for the "might be possible" status... is the height of each deck big enough? or is that a plane for transportation of dwarfs? hehe... Wink (Tophe)

My comments:

You may have a point here, Tophe. Lower deck is too low for passengers to sit comfortably I guess. Okay, let's say this was specially designed as a school bus for kids of rich families!
