Manufacturer: Mikoyan-Gurevich

Model: unknown

Name: "Flatfoot" (NATO codename)

Type: Jet fighter

Date: 1962

Status: Experimental

Country: Soviet Union

Service: Soviet Air Force

Designation: Ye-10

Synopsis:

The Mikoyan Ye-10 was a forgotten prototype developed in parallel with the Ye-8 to test the dorsal air intake configuration.

Elaboration:

The real-life Mikoyan-Gurevich Ye-8 and my fictional Ye-10 above are both the Russian counterparts of North American's real F-107 (NA-212) and the unbuilt NA-211 which had the intakes in the exact same ventral position as the Ye-8.

The Ye-10 was made by taking the Ye-8 prototype (which has the intakes in ventral position) and modifying it to dorsal intake configuration. As I could not reuse the Ye-8's intakes, I used the North American F-107's own, which were very similarly shaped.

The real Ye-8 and my fictional Ye-10 are both the Russian counterparts of North American's real F-107 (NA-212) and the unbuilt NA-211 which had the intakes in the exact same ventral position as the Ye-8.
