In the mid-1950s, French engineer Leduc was disappointed that his projects no longer interested the French Armée de l'air. When meeting with fellowman Wibault who had emigrated to the U.S., they came up with this improved version that they considered submitting to the U.S. Air Force's WS-204A competition against the Republic F-103 and others. Unfortunately they lacked the financial backing and the project never left the drawing board...

Using Leduc's Model 030 as a basis (see below right) I imagined the Leduc-Wibault LW-055.
