I envisioned the Bobcat II as a cheap shipborne lightweight fighter loosely derived from the Tomcat design but of quite smaller proportions and with a single tail fin.

The original Tomcat photo is presented below right for comparison purposes. Besides the tail fin and exhaust, pretty much everything on the aircraft has been reworked.
