A much enlarged derivative of the Model 59K was envisaged.

Piasecki also envisioned civilian derivatives of its Model 59, such as this very sci-fi looking futuristic 'Sky Car'.

PIASECKI 'Sky Car' projected variants

Status: series of projected developments

Powerplant: unknown, not applicable

Significant date: late 1950s

The Models 59K 'AirGeep', 59N 'SeaGeep' and 59H 'AirGeep II' were successful prototypes, and generated enough of a stir for Piasecki to consider possible developments, both for the military and the civilian market. A possible military development was a much-enlarged Geep with the pilot seated in the front end, next to the propeller, while the central position was occupied by a huge cannon. Wheels were replaced with skids, and two lateral fins on either side of the rear propeller improved stability. The drawing is not very clear as to where the cannon operator would have been seated, if seated at all.

Meanwhile, just like Hiller with their 'Aerial Sedan' concept, Piasecki envisaged civilian developments of the Geeps for a not-so-distant future, as shown in this futuristic picture, so characteristic of popular science magazines of the time.

Population: only projects, none built

Crew/passengers: differed according to variant
